For 29 years , Andy served in various capacities in Commercial Credit with TCF Bank.  He initiated the field audit function for TCF which examines the quality of collateral securing bank loans and was responsible for the commercial credit underwriting function which prepares detailed analyses of the risk factors to repayment of debt.

Andy was awarded the Certificate of Examination from the Michigan Board of Accountancy in 1985.   He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Central Michigan University with a major in Accounting.
