Tamar has worked in municipal accounting for the last 19 years, where she acted as the Accounting Coordinator for the City of Flint, before transitioning into the role of Budget and Grants Administrator.

Tamar has served on the Michigan Government Finance Officers Association, as both an Executive Board Member and as the Board President.

Tamar obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus on Accounting from the University of Michigan-Flint.
